'Lady' Wendy Hatton

School Principle: Director & Founder. Over 30+ years of active dancing, from humble beginnings with T.V appearances for Manning's Dance School, and a full history of National Competing. I went on to compete the medal test system, and then gaining my Professional Qualifications in Ballroom. 1988 saw me open my own school and continue my Professional Qualifications to become a Fellow. (highest accolade.) The School is now in its own premises at the Academy open seven days a week.

Head Choreographer & trainer of both 'British Competitors & Formation Champions.' Stuart to this day still Professionally Competes. Fully Circus trained in areal silks, ropes, pole, stilts and trapeze work. Stuart has worked both in Educational & Business environments. Currently working with the likes of ITV, BBC & UKTV providing both guidance & creative direction. Current work includes being MrGayUK, Modelling, British Adjudicating & Member of the Exec Council of the NCDTA.

I started dancing at the age of 3 attending Ballet, Tap and Stage lessons until I changed my genre to Ballroom, Latin and Classical sequence at the age of 12. I danced at a national level for the Hatton School of Dance for 7 years at which point I undertook my Professional teaching qualifications, gaining Associate level in Ballroom and Classical sequence, also continuing my competitive career as a professional. I am a 4th year Biological Science student at the Institute of Genetic Medicine

I'm a Hatton Academy founding & current life member 1stly being a student before becoming a professional and First Aid Officer of the business. I have studied under Principal Wendy Hatton ganing to-date; NCDTA Licentiate Ballroom, Licentiate Latin American, Licentiate Classical/Old Time and Associate Country & Western achieving Hons or Hons with Dis in all examinations. I am presently studying my Licentiate Freestyle and I have recently become a Championship adjudicator.

I have been dancing since the age of two. To date I have, BALLROOM - Associate, currently training for my full membership : LATIN AMERICAN – full membership : Salsa – Associate : Line Dancing – full membership. At the academy I teach short courses in several types of Dance. Teaching in a class atmosphere, as well as through private tuition. Training Professional & those who wish to complete through the Medal Test System.

I started my dance career at the age of four at Peggy Spencers school of dance. I worked my way through the medal test system and competed regularly growing up. I have since taken my professional qualifications with the NCDTA and have acquired an associate level in Ballroom , Latin , Classical and Freestyle. I am continuing to train for further qualifications to work alongside the other Hatton Academy staff.
